What is freemasonry? Freemasonry means different things to each of those who join. For some, it's about making new friends and acquaintances. For others, it's about being able to help deserving causes - making a contribution to family and society. But for most, it is an enjoyable hobby. Any man can become a Freemason, provided he can satisfy our membership requirements shown below:

These costs are kept to an absolute minimum to maintain a viable Lodge and are paid yearly. Currently the yearly cost to a subscribing Member of Grants Lodge 8825 is approximately £270 - Dining Fees are additional to this subscription.
Charitable giving at the Festive Board (after meeting meal) is usually in the form of a raffle, prizes for which are usually donated by Members of the Lodge.
Each member is free to decide his own level of charitable giving.
There are events or socials held throughout the year which Members, their wives/partners and families can attend, but these are of course voluntary. These events vary in cost and any proceeds are used for good charitable causes.
