A message from our Mentor ......What is freemasonry? Freemasonry means different things to each of those who join. For some, it's about making new friends and acquaintances. For others, it's about being able to help deserving causes - making a contribution to family and society. But for most, it is an enjoyable hobby. Any man can become a Freemason, provided he can satisfy our membership requirements shown below: I hope the information here helps with your quest into Freemasonry and if I can be of any further assistance please contact me using the email address on the 'Contacts' Page. Some Frequently Asked Questions [Click here] "I therefore trust that we should have but one aim in view ... to please each other and unite in the grand design of being happy and communicating happiness" |

What is the cost of Freemasonry at Grant's?The cost of Freemasonry at Grant's is in two parts, fixed costs (costs we all have to pay) and voluntary or variable costs. | |
Fixed costs (Lodge subscriptions) are:
These costs are kept to an absolute minimum to maintain a viable Lodge and are paid yearly. Currently the yearly cost to a subscribing Member of Grant's Lodge 8825 is approximately £360 inclusive of Dining Fee. |
Voluntary or variable costs are:
Charitable giving at the Festive Board (after meeting meal) is usually in the form of a raffle, prizes for which are usually donated by Members of the Lodge. Each member is free to decide his own level of charitable giving. |
There are events or socials held throughout the year which Members, their wives/partners and families can attend, but these are of course voluntary. These events vary in cost and any proceeds are used for good charitable causes. If you think you could be interested in joining us, or even if you are not sure, please for a chat. |
Grant's Lodge welcomes enquiries from anyone who is interested in becoming a Freemason or any Freemasons who want to know more about our Lodge. |
